What you actually get for free
Plenty of habit trackers describe themselves as free and then cap you at three habits or hide reminders behind a subscription. Productify's free plan covers a real routine: five habits, unlimited history, per-habit daily tracking, and streak tracking that survives a missed day.
- No account required — install the app and start tracking; your data stays on your device by default
- No time limit — the free plan is not a trial that expires after a week
- No ads — the free tier is funded by people who upgrade, not by advertising
- Reminders included — per-habit notifications are part of the free plan, not a paid add-on
When Pro is worth paying for
Pro is not a better version of the same thing — it adds capabilities the free plan does not have at all. It is worth it if one of these describes you:
- You want to track more than five habits at once
- You want Habit Duo — one shared habit with one friend, for accountability without leaderboards
- You want the AI Habit Analyser to surface which cues and days actually predict your slips
- You want measurable goals in custom units rather than simple yes/no check-ins
- You want the full habit template library rather than the five starters
If none of those apply, the free plan is genuinely the right choice, and we would rather you stayed on it than paid for something you do not use.
Monthly, yearly, or lifetime?
Yearly works out at about $2.08 a month, so it pays for itself against monthly in roughly seven months. Lifetime costs about the same as seventeen months of Pro billed yearly — worth it if you expect to keep tracking habits for more than a year and a half, and a poor deal if you are still deciding whether habit tracking suits you at all. Starting monthly and switching later is a reasonable path.
